Day 18: Growing In Brokenness

Welcome, dear Weekend and Friends who read this blog (do people really read this? Shout out to you who lay eyes on any of these pages. LOVE YOU)!! For those who have to work on the weekends, may you have ease of pace and joy in your giving back. For those who are resting, FULLY rest.

My dear friend, whom I have known since childhood, has been walking through a hard trial with her family. I have seen her meet these struggles head on with a strength that is not of this world. And this is where you grow in brokenness. In those tight spaces where you feel your breath is squelched. In those words from the imaging studies. In those numbers from the lab. You don't look to those as truth or for strength. You look to the Author of Faith, the Beginning and the End, our Future and our Past. In our weakness, He is strong.

She is human, and she is hurting, but I have seen her always turn to The Gospel. She recently shared a song with me and our friends that has become a battle cry for all of us. All 4 of us, friends through many trials, are now each fighting our own battles and are weary.

And I am sure that you are, too.

So for this weekend, I give you this song, given to me by my dear friend. And I thank her for living out the Gospel Truth.

Blessings on your weekend!

How lovely. It is hard to carry around the broken parts of our lives, but God is so good.
